National Council of Jewish Women Supports Kristen Clarke’s Nomination to Lead Civil Rights at DOJ

On January 14th, 2021 National Council of Jewish Women released a statement on about the nomination of Kristen Clarke to lead the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice.

“We are proud to support Kristen Clarke’s nomination to lead the Civil Rights division of the Department of Justice and know she is exactly the right person for this vital role in this moment. Kristen has dedicated her life’s work to justice and unequivocally condemns antisemitism.

“National Council of Jewish Women works closely with Kristen in her role as president and executive director of Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and we look forward to working with her as she enters the Biden administration. Throughout her career, Kristen has fearlessly defended fundamental rights for women, workers, people of color, voters, the LGBTQ community, immigrants, and more.

“Her vision of equal justice for all and deep experience is exactly what is needed in a moment when civil rights laws have been weakened and our public officials have abdicated their duty to and defend the rights of all people in our country.”
