20 Israeli Feminist Leaders Join Prestigious Leadership Fellowship
National Council of Jewish Women welcomes the newest cohort of Connecting for Impact fellowship participants
WASHINGTON — National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) today announced a new cohort of 20 feminist Israeli leaders will join its Connecting for Impact Fellowship designed to support their work ending violence against women and bettering the lives of women and children. The CEOs, directors, therapists, and activists come from a wide range of sectors and backgrounds – ultra-Orthodox, Arab, Bedouin, and Russian-speaking populations – representing the diversity of Israeli feminism. Fellowship members will develop their leadership skills and collaborate to enhance their impact countering violence against women in Israel.
“These women represent the future of feminism in Israel,” said NCJW CEO Sheila Katz, who has also joined the board of governors for Tel Aviv University. “NCJW is honored to support these inspiring innovators joining the Connecting for Impact fellowship. Each of them brings a different area of expertise and knowledge to the table that will allow us to partner and affect lasting change for women, children, and families in the Middle East.”
“The fellowship provides a unique opportunity for these women and organizations to convene and share ideas across communities over the course of a year and a half. The fellows will also receive practical professional and personal development support, including workshops, personal mentoring, and interns from Tel Aviv University Communications Department and School of Social Work.
“The Connecting for Impact fellowship was established jointly by NCJW and the NCJW Women and Gender Studies program at Tel Aviv University in 2018. The fellowship will provide expanded professional development, coaching, and ongoing evaluation.”
