Seeking Justice in Louisville

“Justice, Justice Shall you Pursue” (Deuteronomy 16:18)

Unequivocally and without conditions, National Council of Jewish Women, Louisville Section stands as allies with our Louisville Black community seeking Justice and accountability for the death of Breonna Taylor.  While we are encouraged by some of the reforms that have already been taken, such as a ban on “no-knock” warrants and various police reforms agreed to by the City of Louisville in the civil settlement with the family of Breonna Taylor, these are just first steps.  It is incumbent upon us all to root out the systemic racism seeped into every facet of our nation, a goal that cannot be achieved without all Americans uniting in community.  NCJW has a long history of fighting for racial justice, and we are proud to continue that work today.  While our hearts ache, our resolve is strong for our community.
